Man Dresses as Women and Robs Stores in Toledo Ohio
A convenience store on Madison's Southwest Side was robbed by a masked man Tuesday night, with the robber getting away with cash.
Nobody was injured in the robbery reported at about 11:40 p.m. at Kwik Trip, 3153 Maple Grove Drive, Madison police said.
"The suspected entered the store, implied he had a gun and demanded money from the store employee," said Sgt. Kurt Wege.
The suspect fled on foot. A police dog brought to the scene tried to track the suspect but the suspect wasn't found.
The suspect is a white man about 31 years old, dressed in all black clothing.

A Reedsburg man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly threw a four-month-old kitten into a garage wall, killing the animal.
Kyle Wise, 33, was taken to Sauk County Jail on tentative charges of mistreating an animal causing death and disorderly conduct, Reedsburg police said.

Three charged with felony murder in town of Dane beating death
Before police told him the man he had beaten was dead, 24-year-old Jacob A. Johnson said he felt bad he may have hurt the man, but that "Once I start, I can't stop," according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.
The complaint charged Johnson, of Sun Prairie, with being a party to felony murder for the Oct. 30 death of Dalton D. Ziegler, 24, who was beaten because Ziegler's girlfriend, McKayla R. Tracy, 20, of Lodi, believed Ziegler was cheating on her and she wanted to catch him in the act, the complaint states. She was also charged Monday with being a party to felony murder, along with Drew D. Luber, 21, of DeForest, who told police he held Ziegler while Johnson punched him, the complaint states.

Man allegedly pointed gun at man on East Side, Madison police say
A Madison man was arrested Monday evening after he allegedly pointed a gun at another man while driving on the city's East Side.
Ethan Yang, 20, was tentatively charged with a weapons violation for pointing the firearm at about 6:40 p.m. near East Johnson Street and North Baldwin Street.

A man who allegedly attacked a Madison woman early in the morning on Oct. 26 was arrested early Sunday morning in Downtown Madison.
Robert Taylor Jr., 57, was taken into custody and was positively identified by the 36-year-old victim. He was tentatively charged with battery and disorderly conduct.

A man driving his severely damaged SUV without headlights on early Saturday morning was arrested by deputies in Rock County for his alleged fourth operating while intoxicated offense.
Demetrius Jones on Monroe was arrested at about 5 a.m. Saturday after his SUV stopped in the middle of Highway 213 near Tollefson Road in the town of Spring Valley, the Sheriff's Office said.

Traffic stop leads to drug charges for Madison man, police say
A traffic stop Wednesday morning led to the arrest of a Madison man on drug charges.
Brandon Alexander, 33, was tentatively charged with five counts of delivery of heroin, five counts of delivery of crack cocaine and two counts of delivery of cocaine, Madison police said.
Feud leads to shooting in Janesville; suspect arrested, police say
A feud between two men in Janesville led to one man getting shot and the other arrested.

Woman charged in parking ramp shooting says she didn't know victim
A woman who was charged Thursday with fatally shooting a man in a Downtown parking ramp early Sunday told police she didn't know the man she had killed and was firing a shot only to scare a group of adversaries away from her and another person, a criminal complaint states.
Kenyairra I. Gadson (left), 21, of Madison, was charged Thursday with first-degree intentional homicide for the death of Steven Villegas, 21, who was shot on the Frances Street side of the State Street Campus Garage just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

A Waunakee woman whose car struck a UW-Madison student as she crossed a campus-area street last year, then drove away, pleaded no contest Wednesday to homicide by drunken driving.
Nicole E. Bruns (right), 25, faces up to 25 years of combined prison and extended supervision when she is sentenced in about two months by Dane County Circuit Judge William Hanrahan. She entered her no contest plea Wednesday before Reserve Judge William Foust.

Man charged in Stoughton stabbing homicide found incompetent, case suspended
A Stoughton man who is charged with stabbing another man to death last year was ordered committed to a state mental hospital for treatment after he was found incompetent to face a trial in his first-degree intentional homicide case.
Ted J. Bruno (left), 50, who is charged with causing the death of Kim M. Gaida, 46, on Nov. 27, instead contended that he is competent and claimed that he has a wealth of evidence that would show a vast conspiracy against him by the entire judicial system, including his lawyer, Eric Schulenburg.
